Almaden Institute is a collective group of individually licensed therapists who share a mission to help individuals, families, and children feel and function at their best no matter what the circumstance.  Each therapist manages their own unique private practice.

Not only does each therapist have their own specialty areas, style and approach to therapy, they also have their own fee structure, insurance plan participation, hours, and overall practice management.

Have worked with adults, children, & families for over 15 years. I work from the understanding that people exist within systems, not in isolation. I utilize Expressive Arts Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Play Therapy, as well as specialize in the areas of anxiety, depression, school issues, parenting, social skills, and difficult life events.

I look forward to helping you.

Many people find themselves stuck repeating patterns that worked as survival skills growing up, or during a difficult situation, but are no longer useful. Healing occurs when we understand these connections and find the inner resources to make new choices.
Licensed since 1982, I have vast experience in recovery from addiction, trauma, sexual and physical abuse, depression/anxiety, grief and relationship issues. I'm certified in addiction counseling and EMDR.

Often, we carry ghosts from our past that impede present success and future plans. Collaboratively, we can work on healing past pain and learning to be fully present in the here and now. I’m passionate about helping adults, teens, children and couples to overcome obstacles and live life to the fullest. I work with depression, anxiety, anger, communication, and addiction issues. I also have experience in crisis management and community mental health.

My heart is drawn to working with teens, young adults, and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, codependency, and self-esteem. I also enjoy working with families who've immigrated to the U.S. and their families.

I bring a holistic approach to empower clients in taking control of their well-being, all while incorporating humor and playfulness because therapy doesn't have to be overly serious. Together, let's embark on this journey toward a happier, healthier you!

Every child deserves to be understood, not just labeled. When we take the time to see what's really going on beneath a behavior or a struggle, we can find the right path forward — one built on genuine understanding, not guesswork.

I'm a Licensed Educational Psychologist and the owner of Mindful LEP, now part of the Almaden Institute team. I specialize in comprehensive evaluations — including psychoeducational, autism, ADHD, giftedness/IQ, social-emotional, and twice-exceptional (2E) assessments — with particular expertise in dyslexia and ADHD. I also offer play- and art-based therapy that meets kids where they are, helping them build confidence and work through big feelings along the way.
